2

Document Preparation

We prepare the Memorandum and Articles of Association, shareholder resolutions, power of attorney documents, and all government application forms — translated and notarised where required.

3

Government Registration

We file with GAFI one-stop-shop, the Commercial Registry, and the Tax Authority, coordinating all required ministry notifications and obtaining the official company certificate.

4

Post-Incorporation Compliance

We assist with bank account opening requirements, social-insurance registration, VAT registration, and any sector-specific licensing needed before commencing operations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum capital required to incorporate a company in Egypt?
For a limited liability company (LLC / S.A.R.L.), there is no statutory minimum capital under current law. For a joint-stock company (S.A.E.), the minimum issued capital is EGP 250,000 for private companies and EGP 1,000,000 for public companies. Regulated sectors (banking, insurance, financial services) have their own higher thresholds.
How long does it take to incorporate a company in Egypt?
Through GAFI's one-stop-shop, a straightforward LLC can typically be incorporated within three to seven business days, provided all shareholders' documents are ready. Complex structures or regulated sectors may take longer.
Can a foreign national be the sole shareholder of an Egyptian company?
Yes. Egypt permits 100% foreign ownership in most sectors under Investment Law 72/2017. Some sectors — such as media, land transport, and certain defence-related activities — have ownership restrictions. We verify the applicable rules for your specific activity during the assessment stage.
Do you handle company liquidation and deregistration?
Yes. We manage the full voluntary liquidation process: appointing a liquidator, settling creditor claims, obtaining tax clearance, and completing the deregistration with the Commercial Registry and all relevant authorities.
