What are the social insurance contribution rates in Egypt?
Under Law 148/2019, total contributions are 26% of the variable wage element: 18.75% employer and 11% employee on the base wage, plus additional contributions on the variable component. We apply the current rates and any annual adjustments to all payroll calculations.
What happens if social-insurance contributions are paid late?
Late payment attracts a monthly surcharge of 1% of the outstanding contributions for each month of delay, in addition to the original amount due. Persistent non-compliance can result in legal action and restrictions on government contracts.
Do you handle social insurance for domestic workers and part-time employees?
